Big Brown won the Kentucky Derby Presented by YUM! Brands. Amazing race and amazing horse. Be sure to check out www.bloodhorse.com for updates. And the second place horse, Eight Belles, after crossing the finish line in 2nd place, broke both of her front ankles and was immediately euthanized on the track. Our hearts are broken over the racing worlds loss of a great filly.

The most exciting activity in the planning stages for Chugach Range Riders is Equifest.
CRR has taken over the organization of this important event and the members are showing considerable enthusiasm. The event will take place May 17, 2008 at Chamberlin Equestrian Center in Anchorage. The horse community needs an event like this to earn public support for horse-related activities, trail availability, and more.
